Build Your Wash Day
September 03, 2026
The order matters as much as the products
You can own the best formulas in the world and still get mediocre results if you apply them out of order. Wash day is a sequence — each step preps the next.
Step 1 — Cleanse
Start with a sulfate-free shampoo or a cleansing conditioner. Focus on the scalp, where buildup lives. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 2 — Condition and detangle
Work conditioner through soaking-wet hair, starting at the ends. Detangle with fingers or a wide-tooth comb — never a brush on dry curls.
Step 3 — Treat
This is where masks, deep conditioners, or treatments like Miracle Drops on the scalp come in. Give it time — 10 to 15 minutes under a cap or low heat.
Step 4 — Style on wet hair
Apply your leave-in, then your styler, while hair is still dripping. Products distribute evenly on wet hair and lock in definition.
Step 5 — Dry with intent
Air dry for softest results, diffuse for volume and shape. Don't touch until it's 100% dry — touching breaks the cast and invites frizz.
Make it yours
Adjust the rhythm to your hair — some wash weekly, some twice. What doesn't change is the order: cleanse, condition, treat, style, dry.
