THE DA BRAT JUNE BRAIDERS CHALLENGE
Official Rules
Promotion Period: June 8, 2026 – June 30, 2026
Effective Date: June 5, 2026
1. Sponsor and Administrator
Sponsor. This promotion (the “Promotion” or “Challenge”) is sponsored and administered by Kaleidoscope Hair Products Global, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, with its principal place of business at 580 Carrollton Street, Temple, Georgia 30179 (“Sponsor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
No Endorsement by Platforms or Retailers. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., ByteDance Ltd., Walmart, Sally Beauty, CVS, or any other retailer, social media platform, or service mentioned in connection with the Promotion (each, a “Platform” or “Retailer”). Entrants release each Platform and Retailer from any and all liability arising from or relating to the Promotion. Entrants further acknowledge that they are providing information to Sponsor and not to any Platform or Retailer.
2. Eligibility
The Promotion is open only to natural persons who, as of the date of entry, are (a) legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia; (b) at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is older; and (c) have an active, public account on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook in compliance with that Platform’s terms of service (each, an “Entrant”).
Excluded Persons. Employees, officers, directors, members, managers, agents, representatives, and contractors of Sponsor, Da Brat (p/k/a Shawntae Harris-Dupart), Jesseca Harris-Dupart, their respective management, talent, public relations, marketing, advertising, and production agencies, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members (whether or not related) of each of the foregoing, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.
Compliance. Participation constitutes the Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
3. Promotion Period
The Promotion begins on June 8, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion Period is divided into three (3) consecutive weekly submission windows (each, a “Submission Window”), each with its own theme and judging criteria, as set forth in Section 4.
Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Promotion. Entries submitted before or after a Submission Window will not be eligible to win the Weekly Winner prize associated with that Submission Window but, if submitted during the overall Promotion Period and otherwise compliant, may remain eligible for Grand Prize consideration in Sponsor’s sole discretion.
4. Weekly Themes and Schedule
Each Submission Window has its own theme and corresponding judging criteria. Entries should be created with reference to the applicable weekly theme.
| Week | Submission Window (12:00 a.m. ET – 11:59 p.m. ET) | Theme | Judging Criteria |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | June 8 – June 12, 2026 | Best Color Work | Color choice, blending, originality. |
| 2 | June 15 – June 19, 2026 | Speed & Skill | Speed, precision, execution. |
| 3 | June 20 – June 26, 2026 | Most Creative | Originality, concept, wow factor. |
5. How to Enter
Entry Mechanic. To enter, during a Submission Window the Entrant must: (a) create an original photograph or video featuring a braided hairstyle responsive to the applicable weekly theme (the “Submission”); (b) post the Submission publicly on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook from a public personal account; (c) tag @kaleidoscopehairproducts; and (d) include the hashtag #BraiderChallenge in the caption of the Submission. Each compliant post constitutes one (1) entry.
Multiple Entries. There is no limit on the number of Submissions a single Entrant may post during the Promotion Period; however, an Entrant may win the Weekly Winner prize for a particular Submission Window no more than once (1) per Submission Window.
Account Settings. Submissions posted from private accounts, deleted before judging, or hidden from public view will not be considered. Entrant is solely responsible for ensuring the Submission is visible to Sponsor and remains visible through the date the prize is awarded.
Alternate Method of Entry (No Purchase Necessary). To enter without using any Sponsor product or making any purchase, an Entrant may submit a Submission depicting a braided hairstyle responsive to the applicable weekly theme using any styling products (or no products), posted publicly during the applicable Submission Window with the @kaleidoscopehairproducts tag and #BraiderChallenge hashtag. All other entry requirements and eligibility provisions of these Official Rules apply. Entries that visibly feature Sponsor’s Da Brat Collection products may, but are not required to, receive favorable weight in the discretionary judging criteria; however, no purchase or use of Sponsor’s products is required to enter or to win.
6. Submission Requirements; Prohibited Content
Each Submission must comply with all of the following requirements. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Submission that fails to comply.
- Original Work. The Submission must be the Entrant’s own original work, created by the Entrant or by a person from whom the Entrant has obtained all necessary rights and permissions, and must not infringe or violate any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other right of any third party.
- Model Releases. If any person other than the Entrant appears or is identifiable in the Submission (including any model, client, friend, or minor), the Entrant represents and warrants that the Entrant has obtained from such person (and from the parent or legal guardian, in the case of a minor) a written release authorizing the use of that person’s name, likeness, image, and voice as contemplated by these Official Rules. Submissions depicting any individual under the age of eighteen (18) must be submitted by that minor’s parent or legal guardian, who must be an eligible Entrant.
- Platform Compliance. The Submission and the Entrant’s participation must comply with the terms of service, community guidelines, and promotional policies of each applicable Platform on which the Submission is posted, including without limitation Meta’s Promotions Policies and TikTok’s Community Guidelines and Branded Content Policy.
- Disclosure. Each Submission must clearly and conspicuously disclose its participation in the Promotion through the required #BraiderChallenge hashtag. Submissions describing or endorsing the Da Brat Collection should also include a disclosure such as #ad, #sponsored, or other disclosure consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255).
- Prohibited Content. The Submission must not contain content that is, in Sponsor’s sole determination: (i) unlawful, defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, indecent, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable; (ii) depicts violence, weapons, illegal drugs, illegal activity, or consumption of alcohol or tobacco; (iii) depicts brand names, logos, trademarks, or copyrighted material of any third party (other than the Da Brat Collection or Sponsor’s marks); (iv) disparages Sponsor, Da Brat, Jesseca Harris-Dupart, any Platform, any Retailer, or any other person or entity; (v) contains any commercial advertisement other than for Sponsor’s products; (vi) references any political party, candidate, or campaign; or (vii) contains personal contact information of any person (such as telephone numbers, email addresses, or street addresses).
- Suitability for Promotional Use. Each Submission must be suitable, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, for publication on a general-audience platform and for use by Sponsor in advertising, marketing, and promotional materials.
7. Winner Selection and Judging
Weekly Winners. On or about the Sunday following the close of each Submission Window, a panel of qualified judges designated by Sponsor (the “Judging Panel”) will review all eligible Submissions posted during that Submission Window and will select one (1) Weekly Winner based on the judging criteria specified in Section 4 for that Submission Window. Each criterion is weighted equally unless Sponsor specifies otherwise in writing. The Judging Panel’s decisions are final and binding in all respects.
Grand Prize Selection. The Judging Panel will select up to ten (10) finalists from among all eligible Submissions posted during the Promotion Period (the “Voting Pool”) based on overall creativity, craftsmanship, theme responsiveness, and originality. The Voting Pool will be presented on Sponsor’s designated social media accounts during the Voting Period. Community votes will be solicited via reactions, likes, and/or comments as Sponsor determines. The Grand Prize Winner will be determined based on a weighted score consisting of fifty percent (50%) community vote and fifty percent (50%) Judging Panel score. In the event of a tie, the Judging Panel will select the Grand Prize Winner from among the tied finalists in its sole discretion.
Disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant or Submission that Sponsor determines (a) is not compliant with these Official Rules, (b) is the product of fraudulent, automated, scripted, or manipulated voting or engagement, (c) violates any Platform’s terms of service, or (d) is otherwise inappropriate for the Promotion. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Insufficient Entries. If, in any Submission Window or for the Promotion overall, Sponsor receives fewer eligible Submissions than the number of prizes offered, Sponsor reserves the right (but is not obligated) to award fewer prizes than originally offered.
8. Winner Notification; Verification
Notification. Potential Weekly Winners will be notified by direct message on the Platform where the winning Submission was posted on or about the Sunday following the applicable Submission Window. The potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified on or about June 30, 2026. Sponsor is not responsible for, and will not be liable for, failed, delayed, or undeliverable notification attempts.
Affidavit and Releases. Each potential winner may be required, as a condition of receiving any prize, to execute and return within seven (7) calendar days of notification: (a) an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release; (b) a Publicity Release (except where prohibited by law); and (c) an IRS Form W-9 or, in the case of a non-U.S.-domiciled winner, IRS Form W-8BEN. Failure to timely return the required documents, an inability to verify eligibility, or non-compliance with these Official Rules will result in disqualification, forfeiture of the prize, and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, selection of an alternate winner in accordance with Section 7.
9. Prizes
The following prizes (each, a “Prize”) are available to be won during the Promotion:
| Prize | Description | Approximate Retail Value (ARV) |

All elements of the Content Day, including travel dates, accommodation, photography and videography crew, location, styling, and resulting content, are subject to availability and Sponsor’s reasonable scheduling requirements. The Grand Prize Winner must be available to travel within the United States on dates mutually agreed with Sponsor, and travel must be completed no later than December 31, 2026, or the Content Day will be forfeited without further consideration.

All federal, state, and local taxes (including without limitation income, sales, and use taxes), and all other costs, fees, and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of any Prize not expressly described as included herein, are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC to each U.S. winner whose Prize ARV is $600 or more in a calendar year and will report the amount to the Internal Revenue Service as required by law.
Limitations. No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of any Prize is permitted, except by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize (or any element thereof) with a Prize of equal or greater value if the original Prize becomes unavailable for any reason. All Prize details not specified herein will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Limit: one (1) Weekly Winner Prize per Entrant per Submission Window; one (1) Grand Prize per household.
10. Intellectual Property; Submission License
Ownership of Submissions. As between the Entrant and Sponsor, the Entrant retains ownership of all intellectual property rights in and to the Entrant’s Submission, subject to the license granted in this Section 10.
License Grant. By posting a Submission and tagging Sponsor as set forth in Section 5, each Entrant hereby grants to Sponsor and its affiliates, licensees, sublicensees, successors, and assigns a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, publish, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works of, and otherwise exploit the Submission and the Entrant’s name, username/handle, voice, likeness, and biographical information appearing therein, in whole or in part, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose, including without limitation advertising, marketing, promotional, trade, editorial, social media, public relations, and commercial purposes, without further notice, consent, review, approval, payment, attribution, or other consideration of any kind.
Moral Rights Waiver. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, each Entrant irrevocably waives any “moral rights,” rights of droit moral, or similar rights in any jurisdiction with respect to the use of the Submission as contemplated by these Official Rules.
Sponsor Marks. Nothing in these Official Rules grants any Entrant any right, title, or interest in or to any trademark, service mark, trade name, trade dress, logo, copyright, or other intellectual property of Sponsor, Da Brat, Jesseca Harris-Dupart, or any third party, except as expressly set forth herein. The Entrant’s right to reference Sponsor in connection with the Promotion is limited to the entry mechanic set forth in Section 5 and terminates upon the conclusion of the Promotion Period or upon Sponsor’s written request, whichever is earlier.
11. Publicity and Personal Data
Publicity Release. Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a Prize, each winner consents to Sponsor’s use of his or her name, username/handle, photograph, video, voice, likeness, city and state of residence, biographical information, and statements regarding the Promotion in advertising, marketing, and promotional materials worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further notice, consent, review, approval, payment, or other consideration of any kind.
Personal Data. Personal information collected from Entrants in connection with the Promotion will be used by Sponsor in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at https://iluvcolors.com/policies/privacy-policy, as the same may be updated from time to time. By participating in the Promotion, each Entrant consents to such collection and use.
12. Conditions of Entry; Release of Liability
Assumption of Risk. Participation in the Promotion is at the Entrant’s own risk. By participating, each Entrant assumes all risks associated with such participation, including without limitation any risk associated with the use of the Da Brat Collection products, the styling of hair, the creation and posting of the Submission, the travel and activities comprising the Content Day, and any interaction with Sponsor, other Entrants, or third parties.
Release. By participating, each Entrant releases, discharges, and holds harmless Sponsor; Sponsor’s parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, members, managers, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, advertising and promotion agencies, and successors and assigns; Da Brat (p/k/a Shawntae Harris-Dupart); Jesseca Harris-Dupart; the Judging Panel; and each Platform and Retailer (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) of any kind whatsoever, whether known or unknown, arising out of or relating to (a) the Entrant’s participation in the Promotion; (b) the creation or posting of the Submission or any use of the Submission as permitted hereunder; (c) the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any Prize; (d) any travel or activity associated with any Prize; or (e) any technical, hardware, software, telephone, network, or Platform failure or malfunction.
Limitation of Liability. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY RELEASED PARTY BE LIABLE TO ANY ENTRANT FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PROMOTION OR THESE OFFICIAL RULES, EVEN IF SUCH PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. EACH ENTRANT’S SOLE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PROMOTION SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE ACTUAL VALUE OF THE PRIZE THE ENTRANT IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE FOREGOING MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Indemnification. Each Entrant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all third-party claims arising out of or relating to (a) any breach by the Entrant of these Official Rules; (b) the Submission, including without limitation any claim that the Submission infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other right; or (c) the Entrant’s use of any Platform or violation of any Platform’s terms.
13. General Conditions; Sponsor’s Rights
Right to Modify or Terminate. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Promotion (or any portion thereof) if any fraud, technical failure, or other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper operation of the Promotion, or for any other reason. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, determine the winners from among all non-suspect, eligible Submissions received prior to the action giving rise to the cancellation, using the judging criteria set forth herein.
Tampering. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion is a violation of these Official Rules and may be a violation of criminal and civil law. Should any such attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
Severability. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
Governing Law. These Official Rules and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Promotion or these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of laws principles that would result in the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction.
Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver. Except as otherwise provided herein, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Promotion or these Official Rules shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator, shall take place in Atlanta, Georgia (or, at the Entrant’s election if the Entrant resides in the United States, by telephone or videoconference), and shall be conducted in the English language. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
Equitable Relief. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Sponsor may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
